Licensing & Pricing
This page provides a clear overview of the Mervis licensing and pricing structure. Pricing is specific to the number of data points purchased.

- Pricing Note: All prices are one-time costs (unless specified as monthly) and are excluding VAT.
Mervis IDE & Mervis RT (Runtime)
The Mervis system is divided into the engineering environment (IDE) and the runtime software (RT) that executes logic on the controller.
- Mervis IDE: The development environment is always free to use. You can download it, program your projects, and configure systems without any licensing costs.
- Mervis RT: The runtime software running on the PLC/controller is always a licensed and paid product.
- Trial Mode: Mervis RT will function for 20 minutes without a valid license. This allows for free testing and verification of your logic before purchase.
- Bundled Licenses: For certain hardware (e.g., Unipi), the Mervis RT license is often already included in the hardware price.
- Standalone Licenses: For other platforms or custom installations, licenses must be purchased from Energocentrum.

Mervis SCADA Licensing (On-premises)
Mervis SCADA On-premises licenses are a one-time purchase. Licensing is based strictly on the number of datapoints. All licenses include unlimited users.
Important License Details:
- Installation: Remote installation by Energocentrum is required for all On-premises deployments.
- Updates: 1 year of software upgrades is included. Subsequent yearly updates cost 1/2 of the original license price and are only paid for the year in which the upgrade is desired.
- Validation: The application uses an online license that needs to contact the license server every few days to validate the license.

Mervis SCADA can be used as a fully managed Cloud Hosting subscription service. Pricing is a monthly cost based on the total number of hosted datapoints.

Mervis Proxy & CloudAccess
In addition to standard SCADA and database licensing, Mervis provides secure connectivity options with the following terms:
- Mervis Proxy: This service is free to use for every licensed Mervis RT (Runtime).
- Note: To use this service, a ProxyId is required. This can be obtained using your license number from the provider who issued your license.
- Mervis CloudAccess: This service is available for every customer of Mervis SCADA cloud. For setup and activation, please contact our sales department.
