Recommended Data Points

If you are deciding which data points to make available in your visualization and which to collect for historical analysis, use the following list as the minimum required set.

The recommended logging interval is: 1–5 minutes.

A 15-minute interval represents the absolute bare minimum for any meaningful analysis. The only exceptions are technical limitations, such as those found in battery-powered M-Bus meters.

Do not be afraid of large volumes of stored data—if your I&C (BMS) supplier uses this as an argument against it, get a better system!
