Mervis IoT

The Internet of things (IoT) is the inter-networking of physical devices, vehicles (also referred to as "connected devices" and "smart devices"), buildings, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enable these objects to collect and exchange data. We collect and permanently store billions of individual measurements every month with our Mervis cloud services. Problems with sensor installation or communication can often be overcome by using modern IoT solutions.

Mervis and IoT Data Collection

We currently store over 6 billion measurements per month (as of June 2017). However, many important measurements are still missing, largely due to difficulties in sensor or meter installation and communication. This is where modern IoT solutions, such as LoRa or Sigfox based sensors, can help. Both of these standards represent wireless, country-wide networks (similar to a mobile phone network) and typically use battery-powered devices.
