Hardware capabilities

Platforms where Mervis RT can be run are of 3 basic groups:

• RT on Windows
• RT on Linux
• Embedded device with already preinstalled runtime (e.g. Domat mark100, mark150, mark320…)

The runtime must be licensed to work correctly on Windows and Linux. Embedded devices are already preconfigured and licensed.

The platforms differ in hardware capabilities (e.g. communication ports, SD card slots), computing power and memory size. A simple mark100 PLC has limited capability to control up to 30 I/Os, while a Windows PC with Mervis RT is able to control thousands of physical datapoints using virtually unlimited power.
